There are of course gay people in every village, town and city in Thailand, but few 'gay' places outside the major cities and tourist resorts covered in our other guides. Those that we know about are listed here.

Getting Around

The songtao, a pickup truck with bench seats on the back, is the most usual form of public transport, and some local buses. Motorcycle taxis will take you short distances, but check the fare and be aware of accidents. Long distance buses run between most towns and Bangkok
