Signing Up:
You must complete the registration form in full, and write at least two lines about yourself in the "About me in 2 lines or more" section. We encourage you to say as much as you can about yourself - its not difficult!
If the form is not fully completed your registration will be declined. We are not like other websites that just want a lot of members, most of whom are not active or have nothing to say. We prefer a friendly and active community where everyone has something to say about themselves.
You can include your email address only in the email address box. Do not post your email address, web address, or phone number in the body of your profile.
When you register, you can upload a photo at the same time, but we do not allow nudes (naked), sexually explicit, or obscene photos.
We manually check and approve (or decline) every registration and photo. Why? To ensure that we don't get spammers, or illegal content. Remember that we are a dating site, not a sex site. And we reserve the right to edit profiles if its really necessary.
We send out emails to notify you after we've checked your registration. This may take a few hours, and please remember that there are time difference around the world. We might be asleep when you sign up!
Don't sign up a second time - we consider that as abuse.
Q) I tried to sign up but have not had any emails from you.
A1) Approval could take up to 12 hours to arrive, due to time differences. A member of our staff checks every request.
A2) About 30% of signups fail because errors are made when entering email addresses on the sign up form.
A3) If you don't get our email after 12 hours, check your junk mail boxes first, and then contact us.
A4) If you put www before your email address, it will bounce back and your profile will be removed.
A5) If you deliberately give a false email address, your request will be deleted.
After Signing Up:
You will not be able sign in until you get an approval email from us
Log into your profile page. You might want to change a few things on your profile, upload photos (to get more hits on your profile), write a blog, send messags to guys you're interested in, etc. Of course you should sign in regularly to check your messages too. Lots of guys will want to meet you!
User names and passwords are case sensitive, so 'Agg' is not the same as 'agg'.
Your first photo is your "profile photo", any other photos you upload will be in your photo album.
If you try to change your password before you get our approval email, you will invalidate your registration, and will have to sign up again.
Q) I tried to sign in (log in) but the system told me my username or password are incorrect.
A1) Your membership may be awaiting approval. A member of our staff checks every request.
A2) You must have cookies enabled to verify your username and password.
A3) Usernames and passwords are case sensitive, check the 'caps lock' button on your keyboard.
A4) Your membership may have been declined (see below).
Q) I signed up and got an approval email, but I'm getting errors when trying to log in.
A1) If you tried to change your password before you get our approval email, you will not be able to log in.
A2) Try clearing your browser's cache, and then reload the browser. After that try logging in again.
Q) Why do I have to wait a while before I can log in?
A) We check all profiles and memberships to ensure they are not obscene or scams, and that the email addresses are genuine. Approvals are done as quickly as we can, but global time differences, and our work load, mean that sometimes there will be a few hours delay.
Q) If I don't get instant approval, can I apply again?
A) No! We treat that as spamming our system. Wait for your approval email, as above. If you sign up more than once, we will not approve any of them as we consider that as abuse.
What is Acceptable:
You can write what you like, within reason. What we do encourage on your profile is:
Lots of details about your likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests.
Non sexual photos of you - and at least one must include a clear face shot. We approve photos before they go online.
Making contact with as many guys as you like via IM, chat, guestbooks etc.
Q) What size and type of photo/video can I use?
A) Photos and videos must be of you only, photos in .jpg format and no larger than 500kb, videos no larger than 5mb. We also ask that you try to keep the photo resolution to 72 pixels. Minimum size is 90x120 pixels.
Q) I uploaded a photo/video but it does not show up.
A) They must be approved by admin before they will show up.
Q) My photo was rejected because it was too big.
A) Contact us.
Q) What kind of photo can I upload?

Q) Can I post cartoons, anime, sunsets, or pictures of my dog, etc?

What is Not Acceptable:
Personal or racial abuse.

Obscene writings.
Photos that are not of you. (No cartoons, pets, sunsets etc)
Photos that include children
Requests or demands for money (your membership will be deleted without warning).
Offering an escort service, or promoting any business or website.
Nude (Naked), sexually explicit, or obscene photos, videos. and soundclips. This includes still or moving pictures with erections (even under underwear etc) or sex acts. (for legal reasons)
You may not post email addresses, phone numbers, or weblinks in your profile. This is for your and our protection. Please use the messaging system.
You may not post links to other websites. We want our members to stay on Dragoncastle! If you have photos you can upload them onto your profile very easily.
You also cannot hotlink to photos on other websites, or post photos that are subject to copyright.

The profiles are 'ready filled' but you must alter them to match yourself when you register. Don't leave any sections blank or unchanged.
Q) I saw that my profile had been filled in already with the wrong details.
A) The profiles are set up in advance. You must change them to match yourself by logging in to your account.
Q) Why can't I show my email address, phone number, website information, etc on my profle?
A) For your own security we don't allow it. There are some strange people out there. Members can contact each other thru the messaging system. When you get to know someone, you can give them your email address. As for websites, we want everyone to stay on Dragoncastle and have a good time, and not go off to other sites! If you want to advertise your website, check out "Help" below.
Q) Why do I have to fill in every question and write at least 2 lines about myself?
A) Many other dating sites are filled with profiles that say almost nothing. They are very boring. If you want to meet someone, you have to make yourself sound interesting. We want Dragoncastle to be a place guys will keep coming back to, because it's the place to meet interesting guys! If you have nothing to say, please don't sign up.... Entering 'XXXX' or 'later' or 'I'll tell you later' or 'I'm simple' or less than 2 lines etc will not be accepted.
Q) Why can't I use a government, military or business email address?
A) You must use a private address. You may be breaking laws or company policy by using those email services. It protects you and us.
Q) I'm poor and want to ask guys who contact me for money.
A) This is NOT allowed. It could result in Dragoncastle being accused of promoting or allowing prostitution.
How Can I Send a Message/Chat to Another Member?
Sign into your profile page.
Go to the profile of the guy you want to message. Click on "Send Message".
You cannot send messages to members direct from your own page, except after you have received a message from someone. Then just click on 'reply'.
For chat, both of you must be online at the same time. When you search profiles, you will see "user is online" if that member is online.
Q) How do I send a message to another member?
A) Go to that members profile, and on the right, you will see "send a message", click on that and write your message.
Q) How do I check my messages?
A) After logging into your account, look for "messages" on the left navigation bar.
Q) Can I get an email to tell me when someone sends me a message?
A) Yes! Log in, click on "my profile", then on 'settings", then select "yes" at "notify of new PM".
Q) How can I chat online?
A) Both you and the guy you want to chat with must be online at the same time to open a chat.
How Can I Get Best Search Results?
Sign into your profile page.
We recommend leaving the 'city', 'profile name', and 'screenname', blank for best results.
If you know a users profile or screen name, then you can enter it to find a individual.
Blogs and Guestbooks
We have a zero tolerance for spam. Anyone spamming will have their membership deleted.
Q) What can I post in my blog and what is not allowed?
A) You can write about yourself, your experiences, your friends etc. What you can't do is this:
1) Write insulting or libelous comments about people or businesses.
2) Post obscene writings or photos.
3) Hot link photos from other websites (copyright issues)
4) Advertise any kind of business, service or website, including the use of affiliate links.
Q) What can I write in a member's guest book?
A) Anything that's friendly! Here's what you can't write:
1) Write insulting or libelous comments about people or businesses.

Why Was My Profile Declined?
It may be for any of these reasons:
Failing to fully complete the "about me in 2 lines or more" section.
Writing "Tell you later", "XXXX", "I'm simple", or stuff like that. Guys who write "Tell you later" never do.
Not entering a correct date of birth - many guys seem to miss that for some reason.
Your IP address did not match the city/country you entered on the registration form (giving reason to suspect that the registration is not genuine).
You made a mistake when entering your email address - about 30% of guys signing up get it wrong! If we can't send you a confirmation email, then your membership will not be valid.
Registrations from IPs in the Philippines are restricted and may be refused due to high levels of abuse.
Why Was My Profile Deleted?
We don't like deleting memberships, but if you break the rules it may happen.
We will usually write to you first about anything else we are not happy about.
Memberships will be deleted without warning if you send spam/junk messages, ask for money, are involved in scams or any other illegal activity.
We also sometimes delete inactive profiles to make more space for busy and new profiles.
Deleting Your Profile
We hope that you won't want to do this, but if you meet the right guy, then here is how to delete your Dragoncastle profile. Sign into your account, click on "settings", then "privacy" - you'll see adrop down box "who can view my profile", select "cancel membership". You will not be able to sign in if you cancel your membership!
