Fridae Founder on Drug Charge

Singapore – Reports say that Stuart Koe, founder of the gay “Fridae” website, has been charged with a drug offence.
The 38-year-old Singaporean was charged in court on Wednesday in the city state with possessing 0.01 gramme of methamphetamine and utensils used in drug consumption. The drug and items were found during a search of a flat in Holland Avenue on 27 May this year.
For these charges, he faces a combined jail term of up to 13 years, or a maximum fine of $$30,000, or both under Singapore’s draconian anti-drug laws.
In another incident in Singapore, a local man was charged with committing oral sex in a public toilet. He also faces severe penalties under the countries homophobic legal system.
Cops Bust Thai Gay Porn Sites

Bangkok – Following the arrest of a Thai man several months ago, police have closed down a number of Thai language gay porn websites and arrested the operators.
The investigation began when a man was arrested in Pattaya on suspicion of being a pedophile pimp, and developments included the charging of Russian musician Mikhail Pletnev with molesting two boys, Pletnev denies the charges and is currently on bail.
Police now claim that a number of gay porn websites have been used over the last 10 years as a front for pedophile sex trade. A raid on a house i Bangkok’s Don Muang district netted four arrests, and the confiscation of computers, DVDs, paper records, cameras, video recorders, and other equipment. The owner of the numerous websites is reported to be 48 year old Khun Kanphon Chinchayaphorn, known as Lung Max, who turned himself into police.
All the arrested have been charged with participating in providing illegal services or products via the internet and participating in the distribution, public broadcasting and/or possession of pornographic media. They may also face child trafficking charges later. The investigation is ongoing.
Faeries To Gather In Thailand

Phuket – Asian Faeries invite you to join them at the 8th annual Asian Faerie Gathering, January 20-30, 2011 on the magical island of Koh Yao Yai near Phuket, Thailand.
The gathering site will be the remote and undeveloped island of Koh Yao Yai, at the beach front resort hosted by Khun Marisa. We look forward to another fabulous adventure of fun and self discovery. This is a non-profit event organized by a diverse group of guys living in Thailand, Estonia and the US. The idea is for gay people from all over the world to meet in a quiet and beautiful natural setting and get to know each other and ourselves better. We will have morning heart circles, nature walks, swimming, snorkeling and hopefully a cross-cultural romance or two. We improvise our activities as we go along through the week, but please plan on a talent show, fund-raising auction, and making new friends. Previous years we have had faeries from Thailand, America, Estonia, Australia, Indonesia, China, Belorus, England, Russia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and several other countries.
We have been gathering together as faeries in the USA for 30 years, in Europe for 13 years and this will be our 8th meeting in Thailand. We are always eager to welcome our Asian brothers and others, so please spread the word.
We have sliding scale fees that will allow each person to pay what they can afford. We may be able to offer some travel scholarships for those wanting to attend from developing countries in South and Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, etc. If you don’t have money but really want to attend, please write to us and we will try to help you come to the gathering.
